Sketches from Tutorial

The use of a toad stool as a table and seating, as well as large ones as shelter.

A digitally enhanced tree, that can change depending on the mood of the club.

The earthy love area, with large flowers as the love seats.

A sketch of what it could look like from the outside. Something normal, but only slightly unusual.  Note the stilted tree house in the top left hand corner.

Wonderland themed supper club

My latest idea is to have a wonderland themed supper club. I want to play with the idea of separate public and private spaces. My idea is to have the supper club at the rear od the building, and it may be entered through a hidden door. At this stage I am thinking of playing with the topography, making the patron enter through the side or top of the hill.
Inside there will be a hidden wonderland, which is somewhat surreal in having ordinary things change in size. I am thinking along the lines of mushroom tables and chairs, flower chair etc.
Sketches will be uploaded soon.

Cafe Ideas

I feel the Cafe needs to represent the history of the site.  Therefore I think the use of timber will be important in this area of the Club. There should also be outdoor areas to be used by these patrons.

I love how intimate this design is.  The patrons would instantly feel calm and as though they are the only ones there, rather than being in a busy cafe, full of noise and other people.

What the site needs

It is important to decide on what the digital supper club could bring to the site.

- Pedestrian Pathways
The site will need to have public pathways, this path needs to be safe during the night, with patrons for the club.  It will also be able to be used by other pedestrians going to and from work.

- Cafe
There is the need for a cafe that could be used during the day and on weekends, as a place for meeting, and brunch. The cafe would work best near the path to offer refreshments to users, as well as have views of the Brisbane River.

- Club
It will be important to offer a club for public use, as well as a private club for VIP members.

- Historic Information
I believe that the history of the site should be able to be seen in the club, whether just in the cafe, as a place for information.

- Amenities
There should be amenities used for patrons to the cafe, as well as a separate one to the club.
